Each scheduled 2010 event is described briefly here and is detailed in the calendar pages. We will list the 2011 events soon, but this list shows what we like to do.

This “conversation” took place too many times over the past several years. We requested and received allocations of airline or bus seats and hotel or condo beds when we set up our overnight trips. But, for lack of timely commitments by our members, we had to pare down our allocations before well-advanced deadlines, reducing the available places or – worse – canceling trips. Don’t miss your tremendous opportunities to join us for some great ski adventures this winter. Note the deadlines regarding sign-ups and discuss them with the trip leaders. Make your plans early and budget your vacation resources. We want you to join us and fill our trips to Winter Park, Holiday Valley, HoliMont, Gore, Okemo and Stratton!

Our club provides steaks and potato & macaroni salads to members for only $5.
Meet up at 3:30 and ski until 10:00 p.m.

13 Holiday Valley – Day Trip by bus
Ski the widely varied slopes, trails, and glades of the best-rated ski resort in western NY, and enjoy old and new friends on this daylong adventure.

Meet up on other sunny days at Swain or Bristol Mountain:
Give your friends a call to travel together to the slopes. Or just get yourself to the mountains and seek out club members.
If you don’t run into the gang suiting up in the lodge, meet on the slopes. Many of us will be “wearing” colorful, souvenir ribbons from some of our club trips. If you don’t find us on the trails, look for some of us loitering around Bristol’s Express lifts or the Swain Double.
Some of us also monitor channel 11 – code 11 on our FRS radios.

Package prices offer significant discounts from the daily ticket rates. Our members can enjoy even greater discounts from the regular package rates. Savings of up to 5% below the individual fall package prices are available to our club through October 23, 2009:

HUNT HOLLOW
Discounts from 36% to 45% are available to enjoy all the expanded lighting and glade area as well as the recently expanded base lodge:
Discounted tickets are valid in 2010 for up to 13 hours, starting anytime from opening until closing times on Wednesday through Friday.
Regular hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Wednesdays through Fridays from January 1st until the end of season in late March, but may close at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays in March.
Plus January 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (MLK Day)
And February 15 & 16 (or whenever is Mid-winter School Break) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (or maybe 10:00)
These tickets are not valid on weekends and prior to January 1, 2010.
For your 45% discount, get a check to Mike Young for $30 per lift ticket by the end of our regular club meeting on November 19. Mike should have your tickets for you at our Holiday Party in December.
NOTE: The similar "group" discount rate for our events on January 8th and February 5th is NOT GUARANTEED and the "group" lift ticket is not valid until 4:00 p.m. These advanced sale coupons guarantee the discount AND let you start earlier, having more daylight hours to enjoy the more challenging, unlighted runs and glades.

MYSC meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday of the month from August through November and January through April. Meetings often include featured speakers and discussions of ski and snowboard opportunities. For specifics see our newsletter or our online calendar.
Our regular meeting site is the upstairs party room at MacGregor’s in Penfield, 1129 Empire Boulevard, at the south end of Irondequoit Bay, phone (585) 288-8630. Many of us gather early for dinner while others just drift in for libations and camaraderie before the meetings, which begin at 8:00 pm.
