GENERAL INFORMATION:
MONROE Y SKI CLUB MEETINGS
MYSC meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday of most months from fall through spring. Meetings often include featured speakers and discussions of ski and snowboard opportunities.
NOTE THESE CHANGES: The April meeting will be an party at MacGregor’s, our September meeting will likely be a picnic at a local park cabin, and there may not be a general meeting in August – for specifics see newsletter or online calendar.
Our regular meeting site is the upstairs party room at MacGregor’s in Penfield, 1129 Empire Boulevard, at the south end of Irondequoit Bay, phone (585) 288-8630. Many of us gather early for dinner while others just drift in for libations and camaraderie before the meetings, which begin at 8:00 pm.
TGIF
Thank Goodness It’s Friday - when members gather for some casual fun among friends at seasonably appropriate watering holes. We usually meet at around 6:00 pm. And many of us stick around for a meal while we are there.
TRADITIONAL CALENDAR OF SOCIAL EVENTS
Some of our events date back to the beginnings of our club, 57 years ago! Others are more recent additions:
In addition to the aforementioned two picnic meetings, we typically have a holiday party in early December and an annual recognition banquet in May.
We gather less formally in September for a steak roast and in February for a cabin party with cross-country skiing at a park. Our club members enjoy steaks at Hunt Hollow in January and our club President usually provides us with a picnic at either Bristol or Swain in late-winter. The season usually winds up with an After Trips Cookout in early summer.

Club officers often organize other events and excursions as the interest develops. Recently these have included local spectator sports, participatory sports (golf) events, theatrical plays, concerts, lilac-sniffing, riverboat-cruising, maze-running, oktoberfesting, and the Renaissance Faire at Sterling.
